THE BLÅ RHYNOCERUS
The Blue Rhino wanders the boundless grasslands of Ganymede near Jupiter, looking for plants and grass. On the run from the humans who kill him exclusively for his horn, wounded and without any more strength, he found refuge in the Irie 7 Rocket Spaceship that was refueling with water on the shores of Lake Victoria. The Ekumeku aliens welcomed him, cared for and fed him, and then released him on Ganymede. Its characteristic blue color is due to the ocean water
of the Dark Regions rich in hydrogen coming from the turquoise stones of the seabed. Returning from their usual intergalactic exploratory journeys, the Ekumeku visit him bringing a gift of myrtle and baobab leaves. The Blue Rhino spends a lot of time immersed in water or in the shade of a tree. Half asleep, he longingly dreams of African muddy ponds and runs in the savannah with his little friend Oxpecker. Sometimes he thinks he is listening to a Maasai chant. “Matha, Matha,
